About 931 BC the kingdom of Israel was split into 2 kingdoms. The 2 tribes of Judah and Benjamin in the south became the kingdom or House of Judah.

The 10 northern tribes led by Ephraim became the kingdom or House of Israel.

They each had their own king. The capitol city of Judah was Jerusalem while the capitol city in Israel became Samaria under King Omri.

Today since 1948 the nation of the Jews was created by Britain and the UN and was named Israel.

However, the Jews of today only represent the ancient 2 tribe nation of Judah.

So what happened to the other 10 tribes of Israel?

Again, the 10 northern tribes and most of the other 2 were taken into Assyrian captivity about 700 BC and never returned to Israel or Judah.

The Assyrians, according to scripture had placed the captives of Israel and Judah in the land of the Medes. See 2 Kings 17:6 and 2 Kings 18:13. This is the area south of the Caucasus Mountains between the Black and Caspian Seas.

With the decline of Assyria the tribes of Israel began to escape through the Caucasus Mountains about 675 BC. Thus the name Caucasians. From here they eventually spread across western and northern Europe and became known as Saxons, Sachsens, Celts, Gauls, Goths, Angles, Jutes, etc.

Through the course of time (probably just a few generations) they forgot who they were. And today most of them have no idea of who they really are.

So again, why would Christ say that he was sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel?

Because it was the lost sheep of the House of Israel who would become the Christian nations and they in turn would spread Christianity throughout the world.

And how very few of them even know who they really are.

The Jews spoken of in Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9 are not of the House Of Judah thus the "synagogue of Satan" clarification.

The 10 tribes in captivity and lost to historians but not to God.

In Leviticus 26:44 God said that even when they were in the hands of their enemies He would NOT cast them away. In Isaiah 41: 8-9 after all Israel had been scattered, God says He has not cast them away.

In the last book of the Old Testament Malachi 3:6, God says to Israel, "I am the Lord, I change not, therefore ye sons of Jacob are NOT consumed."

Why wouldn’t the Israelites remember their own identity? It is very easy to see how they would forget if we just look at our American example. In my own example, my mother was a full Norwegian. Both my mother’s parents were born in Norway. From my grand parents to my children anything about Norway, i.e. the country, language or customs has been completely lost.

When our people, Israel, went into the Assyrian captivity they would be called by another name. The Medes and Persians called the tribes of Israel the Saka on the inscriptions of the Rock of Behistun, a monument that Darius the Great had carved into the face of a mountain and still remains today. See photo.

In Amos 7:16 God uses the name "House of Isaac" as synonymous with "Israel", so this must be a name for Israel that the people were familiar with. Also, "In Isaac shall thy seed be called" Romans 9:7, Hebrews 11:18 and Genesis 21:12; this documents that Israel would be called by Isaac’s name.

So the lost tribes of Israel would be called by Isaac’s name. It is a well-known Hebraism, and for some reason it certainly was a very common custom among the Israelites, to drop the first letter of a proper name to show the possessive. We could go into the actual Hebrew name but it comes out the same.

Isaac then becomes Saac or Sak. The Hebraism of dropping the first letter of a proper name, to show the possessive, would be the reason for dropping the "I".

The ten lost tribes of Israel (plus most of the other 2) then would have called themselves the Sak or the Beth Sak (which means House of Isaac) and this name would be synonymous with Israel.

And just as "Beth Sak" (house of Sak) was their name, they would also be known as the sons of Sak or Saksons. Translated into Latin and then into English as Saxons.

The Israelites taken into captivity called themselves the "Beth Sak", or House of Isaac, or just "Sak", during and after the captivity, and later the "Saksons" or sons of Isaac. Other nations called them:

The Assyrian name for Israel was Ghimri. This name Ghimri was for King Omri of Israel. Omri in Hebrew is pronounced Ghimri. The Babylonian name for Omri was Gimiri.

Each time in the Babylonian text when the name "Gimiri" is used, the corresponding name in the Persian and Elamite texts is "Saka".

Gimiri being clearly established as the name for the 10 tribes of Israel is "Saka" in the Persian text. "Saka" has been clearly established by many ancient Greek and Roman historians as being the Saxons.

Israel = Gimiri = Saka = Sachsen = Saxon

The identity of our people, Israel, is literally written in stone at Behistun.

THE ANNIHILATION OF DAMASCUS PROPHECY ... Isaiah 17

As we consider what God is doing to accomplish His pronouncements for the nation of Israel, we realize the process is far from complete. Through His compassion, the Lord has once again "chosen" Israel and begun to settle them in their own land. (Isaiah 14:1) Though many of the people are now back in that promised land, most do not acknowledge the One who performed it. There is little regard for the God of Israel, little acknowledgment of Him by most of the Israeli population. Israel is as godless and unholy a nation as any other in the world. And even those who do make an appearance of worshiping that God are operating in the framework of a man-made religious system which is not the gateway to an animate relationship with Him.
Yet we know from the Scriptures a dramatic change will occur in Israel, a spiritual revitalization unparalleled in world history. "I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel", declared the Lord God through the prophet Ezekiel. What will be the impetus for this dramatic transformation?
It will be a process similar to what many of us have experienced individually as the Lord brought us to Himself. We endured devastating circumstances that cast us into a desperate state, until all we could do was cry out to God for mercy and help. But it was His kindness that took us to that state, so He could restore us to Himself. In the Bible, we see this repeatedly in the ancient history of Israel.
Prophetically, we see it as well, in Isaiah chapter 17, which describes that future "day men will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel." (v 7 NIV). This "looking" will be with new spiritual eyesight, imploring God for succor, in sincere repentance. The next verse indicates that Israel will no longer look to their man-made religion, "the works of their hands." But first, let us take a verse-by-verse examination of this chapter, which begins with a foretelling of doom for the city of Damascus, Syria.
The demise of Damascus is prophesied in three different places in the Bible. Isaiah 17 is one of them. If this prophecy is yet future, awaiting fulfillment, it could happen soon. Damascus is a central hub of terrorism today. Several of the most prominent terrorist organizations have their headquarters there, and coordinate their operations from there. With the United States and Israel aligning against Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah, it is not hard to see today how circumstances could quickly fall into place.
When examining Bible prophecy, the question is not "if" what God said will happen, but "when". So our initial question for this chapter is this: has the destruction of Damascus, described here, occurred in history?
(Isaiah 17:1 ESV) An oracle concerning Damascus. Behold, Damascus will cease to be a city and will become a heap of ruins.
(Isaiah 17:1 JPS) The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
(Isaiah 17:1 NIV) An oracle concerning Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.
Looking at these three different translations, we see the prophecy is not only about the destruction of Damascus, but the thorough dissolution of its status as a city. Its "cityhood" will be taken away. After this oracle is fulfilled, there will never be a city called Damascus again. If Isaiah had only said "Damascus will be destroyed", then presumably, it could be rebuilt. But the impact is stronger than that. "Damascus will be negated from being a city." (Stone Edition Tanach)
A phrase in verse three also confirms this. The sovereignty, the royal power, the kingdom "will disappear from Damascus." Though it is the seat of government, capital of Syria, that status will be removed, and it will no longer function as such.
So we see that this prophecy could not have taken place, or else Damascus would not now exist as a city. Yet some commentators claim this was historically fulfilled in 732 BC by the Assyrians under Tiglath-Pileser III. However, neither the Bible (which records the incident in 2 Kings 16:9) nor the ancient Assyrian inscriptions found at Ninevah say the city was destroyed, just captured. It certainly did not cease to exist.
Also, it is important to note that the three Biblical prophecies about the doom of Damascus (Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 49, Zechariah 9) were written over a span of 200 years. Therefore, even a fulfillment in Isaiah's day would not satisfy the requirements of the other prophecies, written later. Regarding Jeremiah's prophecy about Damascus, the Babylonians under Nebuchadnezzar did conquer the city in 605 BC, but there is no record of it being destroyed then. Neither did Zechariah's prophecy receive a fulfillment. Alexander the Great did also subsequently take Damascus in 332 BC, but without bloodshed or destruction.
Therefore, we can conclude that all three of these prophecies about Damascus are referring to a tragic event yet future. God does not tell us directly in this chapter His reasons for the severe pronouncement of doom against Damascus. But God is a just God, and does not take such drastic actions arbitrarily. Therefore, Damascus apparently does something to deserve this fate. Though the reasons are not directly stated, we might be able to infer them from dire circumstances that Israel suffers in the context. So our supposition is Damascus is responsible for those circumstances, as we shall see later.
(Isaiah 17:2 ESV) The cities of Aroer are deserted; they will be for flocks, which will lie down, and none will make them afraid.
As we continue in our verse by verse examination, this reference to "Aroer" is a bit puzzling. It is a region on the northern bank of the Arnon River in what is today Jordan. At the time of Moses, it marked the southern boundary of the territory given to the two and a half tribes who received their land inheritance on the east side of the Jordan River. That Aroer was in the territory of Reuben. There was another Aroer in the territory of Gad as well, very near Rabbah. Rabbah is today called Amman, the modern capital of Jordan. So Isaiah may be indicating that the Jordanians will be involved as well.
Does this mean that the nation of Jordan will be party to whatever conflict causes the destruction of Damascus? The textual proximity of prophecies against Moab and Ammon (who resided in today's Jordan) in Isaiah 15-16 and Jeremiah 48-49 to the prophecies against Damascus provide circumstantial evidence for this. In fact, Jeremiah 49:1-2 uses similar terminology when describing the fate of Rabbah (Amman) as Israel regains possession of its land on the east bank of the Jordan. So it is possible that both Amman and Damascus will be destroyed in the same actions, and the "flocks that will lie down" there in safety are the Jews who will repossess that land.
(Isaiah 17:3 ESV) The fortress will disappear from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus; and the remnant of Syria will be like the glory of the children of Israel, declares the LORD of hosts.
Just as in the previous verse we saw a possible hidden reference to Amman, Jordan, here we see a possible hidden reference to the Palestinian Authority. The territory allocated to the tribe of Ephraim sits at the very heart of the so-called "West Bank". So the "fortifications" described in verse 3 are probably a symbolic reference to the terrorist strongholds that will be eliminated. If Isaiah were writing it today, he might say, "The PLO forces will vanish from the West Bank."
This seems to hint that the Palestinians as well will be involved in whatever events lead to the destruction of Damascus. At the same time the governing authority disappears from Damascus, the military units of the Palestinians disappear from the West Bank. "Not a sign of a fort is left in Ephraim, not a trace of government left in Damascus." (v. 3, The Message Bible)
The final phrase in verse 3, "the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the sons of Israel," is another emphatic statement about the scope of the judgment against Syria. Isaiah was writing in the days when the Assyrians had devastated the northern kingdom (ten tribes) of Israel. So Isaiah is saying that Syria's ultimate fate would be similar.
(Isaiah 17:4-6 NIV) "In that day the glory of Jacob will fade; the fat of his body will waste away. It will be as when a reaper gathers the standing grain and harvests the grain with his arm-- as when a man gleans heads of grain in the Valley of Rephaim. Yet some gleanings will remain, as when an olive tree is beaten, leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches, four or five on the fruitful boughs," declares the LORD, the God of Israel.
In the next section, the focus changes from Damascus to Israel. In fact, Damascus is not even directly mentioned in the rest of the chapter. However, because of the structure of this oracle, we surmise that the effects on Israel described in the remaining verses are in conjunction with the conflict with Damascus.
Isaiah uses several metaphors to describe the consequences on Israel. Some of those consequences are very negative, but they lead to a positive spiritual revolution described in verses 7-8.
But first, the negatives. Verse 4 describes a process of enfeeblement and emaciation for Israel. Then verses 5-6 depict visuals of privation and desolation. This desolation seems to effect Israel's "strong cities", according to verse 9. This would be a reference to Israel's population center on the Mediterranean coast, where the major cities are. Later on in the chapter, Isaiah calls it "a day of grief and incurable pain."
How might we interpret these scenes, given the context? It seems plausible that the destruction leveled against Damascus is God's response to devastation it has wreaked upon Israel's population center, the "strong cities". Those cities will be like "deserted places", according to verse 9 -- "all will be desolation".
If this is the correct interpretation of these verses, it means a great deal of sorrow and suffering for many people. But out of this suffering comes a remarkable spiritual transformation in Israel.
(Isaiah 17:7 -8 ESV) In that day man will look to his Maker, and his eyes will look on the Holy One of Israel. He will not look to the altars, the work of his hands, and he will not look on what his own fingers have made, either the Asherim or the altars of incense.
God will apparently use the desperate circumstances to turn the gaze of Israel to Himself. This seems to be the answer to the question "what will it take for the nation of Israel to come back to their God?" It is confirmed in Zechariah 9 as well, one of the other places where doom is declared upon Damascus.
"The burden of the word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach, with Damascus as its resting place (for the eyes of men, especially of all the tribes of Israel, are toward the LORD)," (Zechariah 9:1 NASB) What happens to Damascus, and the accompanying misery for Israel, will be a very effective attention-getting exercise.
The Message Bible puts it this way: "Yes, the Day is coming when people will notice The One Who Made Them, take a long hard look at The Holy of Israel. They'll lose interest in all the stuff they've made - altars and monuments and rituals, their homemade, handmade religion - however impressive it is." (v 7-8)
Homemade, handmade religion is an impediment to knowing God. But when the extreme circumstances compel Israel to seek their God, it will not be on the basis of their religious traditions. "At that time the people will turn and trust their Creator, the holy God of Israel." (v 7 CEV) Those who worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in truth, and this is how Israel will take a fresh approach to him.
(Isaiah 17:9 ESV) In that day their strong cities will be like the deserted places of the wooded heights and the hilltops, which they deserted because of the children of Israel, and there will be desolation.
"That day" presumably corresponds to the time when Damascus is destroyed.. But the "strong cities" mentioned are Israeli cities, not Syrian. We know this from the next verse, where God gives His reason for the action described: "You have forgotten God your Savior".
So whatever is happening to these "strong cities" is the Lord's corrective action. When Isaiah says they will be "like the deserted places", he is comparing it to the initial conquest of the land by Israel under Joshua. The original Canaanite inhabitants deserted their cult places of shrine worship "because of the children of Israel". An alternate translation of this verse makes it clearer: "In that day your towns will be like the waste places of the Hivites and the Amorites which the children of Israel took for a heritage, and they will come to destruction." (Isaiah 17:9 BBE)
It is possible, however, that portions of this prophecy were already fulfilled when Sennacherib the Assyrian swept through Israel in Isaiah's day. He conquered much of the territory, taking the ten northern tribes (Israel) into captivity. But he was not able to subdue Jerusalem, for God responded to King Hezekiah's plea in dramatic fashion.
But Sennacherib was successful in wreaking devastation on the "strong cities" of Israel. So in the interest of correct interpretation of Scripture, we must acknowledge that this portion may have already been fulfilled. However, since it is given in the context of Damascus' destruction, which did not occur then, it may still have a future application.
One of the challenges in understanding Bible prophecy is often there is a mixture of short-term and long-term prophecies in the same scene. In this case, we are sure that certain portions have not yet been fulfilled. The prophet's objective was to give us a long view of God's remedial measures for Israel. Those measures were active in Isaiah's day, and continue through today.
Regardless of how we interpret the phrases about Israel's "strong cities", we can see that difficult circumstances are ahead for Israel. But Jerusalem will not be affected by the clash with Damascus. Jeremiah provides more details:: 'Concerning Damascus: "Hamath and Arpad are dismayed, for they have heard bad news. They are disheartened, troubled like the restless sea. Damascus has become feeble, she has turned to flee and panic has gripped her; anguish and pain have seized her, pain like that of a woman in labor. Why has the city of renown not been abandoned, the town in which I delight?'" (Jeremiah 49:23-25 NIV)
This seems to coincide with Isaiah's and Zechariah's prophecy regarding Damascus. Hamath and Arpad are other cities in Syria - could it be the "bad news" they are hearing is the obliteration of Damascus? The degree of their distress at hearing the news is powerfully portrayed by Jeremiah. They "are convulsed with anxiety" (NJB) and Damascus herself is "aghast" and gripped with panic.
Regarding the last sentence - "the town in which I delight" is obviously Jerusalem. According to Jeremiah, it "had not been abandoned" - implying that given the events he saw prophetically might have expected people to flee, but they did not. The Amplified Bible puts it this way: "How [remarkable that] the renowned city is not deserted, the city of my joy!" This is all conjecture, but consider this: one thing that would prompt Israel to use weapons of mass destruction (nuclear) against Damascus would be if they were responding in kind to the use of weapons of mass destruction (biological and/or chemical) by the Syrians. Perhaps that is what Jeremiah saw, and thus would have expected to see people abandoning Jerusalem, except for the fact that Israel put a stop to it by bombing Damascus?
(Isaiah 17:10-11 ESV) For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge; therefore, though you plant pleasant plants and sow the vine-branch of a stranger, though you make them grow on the day that you plant them, and make them blossom in the morning that you sow, yet the harvest will flee away in a day of grief and incurable pain.
This is the reason for God's corrective actions. Though Israel was founded by Him in an act of divine love, though Israel has been regathered by Him in these last days as a continuation of that love, still they do not acknowledge Him. This is the essence of the problem. It has been a long-standing issue, still not resolved, according to the Bible.
The "planting" analogy in verse 11 may be pointing out that all of their own efforts in planting the nation are useless until they come back to their God who made it possible. They may carefully tend and cultivate the plants, but God will not bring the blessing of harvest until they look to Him in repentance. All of their political efforts to establish themselves as a respected nation in the international community will be for naught, because they have disregarded their Maker. They have refused to trust Him and have relied on their own contrivances instead.
Despite that, His compassion for Israel continues. One of the most frequent themes of the prophetic Scriptures is God's change of disposition towards Israel. He will draw them to Himself in lovingkindness, finally coming forcefully to their aid when they call to Him in sincerity. That is what the final verses of the chapter are about, how God defends Israel against worldwide animosity.
(Isaiah 17:12-14 NIV) Oh, the raging of many nations-- they rage like the raging sea! Oh, the uproar of the peoples-- they roar like the roaring of great waters! Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.
These verses, which complete the Damascus oracle, convey a distinctive change in tone and perspective. They describe the international reaction to the events prophesied above. Extreme, off-the-scale outrage will be the world's reaction to Israel's destruction of Damascus. The world already hates the nation of Israel. Can you imagine the level of loathing that will be unleashed if Israel is forced to use nuclear weapons against Damascus? No matter how justified is Israel's case, no matter how imperative their need to go nuclear, the world will go berserk.
Let's examine how this might come about. For the first time in history, we are on the brink of a setting where this prophecy could be fulfilled. What is now being called the Tehran-Damascus-Hezbollah axis is a grave threat to Israel. Iran's persistent campaign to acquire nuclear weapons continues unabated, weapons it has vowed to use for the destruction of Israel. Of course, Israel cannot allow that to happen, and has indicated it will take preemptive action against Iran.
This course seems a certainty. Iran will not sit back passively if Israel strikes, it will use all its means to attack Israel, including its allies in Syria and Lebanon. Hezbollah, based in southern Lebanon, has a formidable arsenal of 13,000 missiles to use against Israel, some reportedly with chemical or biological capabilities. They are poised to strike the population centers along Israel's Mediterranean coast, where the majority of Israel's citizens live.
Hezbollah cannot act without the permission and coordination of Syria, who is the occupying power in Lebanon. Therefore, Israel holds Syria also responsible for Hezbollah's actions. Syria itself also has a substantial missile arsenal ready to use against Israel, also with WMD (weapons of mass destruction) capabilities.
You can probably see how this current situation fits precisely into the scenario of Isaiah's prophecy. If Israel is struck by chemical or biological WMD from Syria and/or Hezbollah, they will have no choice but to utilize nuclear weapons against Damascus. Why? Because the time needed to mount a conventional military attack against Damascus would be measured in days. And each of those days would leave Israel vulnerable to tens of thousands of civilian casualties from more WMD missile attacks.
Once any of the hostile parties to Israel has opened the bottle of non-conventional weaponry, it gives Israel the justification, and indeed the compulsion, to respond in a non-conventional (nuclear) manner.
It does not take very much imagination to foresee what world reaction to such a scenario would be. That reaction would be the foaming uproar described by Isaiah in verses 12-13. Anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism will explode around the world to a degree never before seen. But notice that God Himself will deliver an overwhelming rebuke to the nations. Once Israel turns to Him in true contrition and trust, He will respond to their plea.

REPAIRING THE BREACH From the High QUEEN of Ireland and Saint Patrick to SOVEREIGN USA

In “Her Land,” when a woman marries a man, it is legal for the man to assume the woman’s surname and drop his own in HER LAND

Some people say that “if it wasn’t legal, then the lawyers, they would sue. And the prisons would be filled with folks who had a drink or two. And, if they didn’t like it, then away the girls would run. And, if there wasn’t plenty, then the pilfers would get none.”

Some people say that the oldest of laws in Ireland is the law of color, lass. The colors of one’s coat are very important to the Irish for the same reasons that the colors and the number of colors are important to a Scot’s kilt. Look for yourselves to the Book of God, Genesis 37:3.

You see, long ago in Ireland, the High Queen was to wear seven colors; “7” is the number of completion. A prophet was only allowed to wear six colors; “6” is the number of a man. Five colors could be worn only by the noble, and “5” is the number of grace. For officers of the military, three colors were only permitted; “3” is the number of divine manifestation. For your common soldier, two colors were the limit, boys, and “2” is the number of adequate witness. For the common lad, mud and sweat, ale and kale, only one color was permitted, and “1” is the number of God.

Ireland’s wells are sacred; these are commemorative of Joseph being placed in a well by his brethren. So also is the ancient Irish custom to swear by the sun, moon and stars in remembrance of Joseph’s dream wherein the sun, moon and stars bowed down to him.

The stone pillars in Ireland are called “ons,” and the early priests referred to them as “Bothels” (not brothels, lads, BOTHELS!), an Irish transliteration of a Hebrew word, “Beth-el,” which means “House of God” as in “Jacob’s Pillar.” Remember: Joseph married the daughter of Potiphar, a sun priest of On, in Egypt.

In a study of the Book of Jeremiah presents evidence of Tamar Tephi and her sister, Scota, were the two daughters of King Zedekiah of the Tribe of Judah, and that the prophet Jeremiah brought them to the King of Zaragossa (Iberia/Spain) and married Princess Scota to this king.

Moving north, Jeremiah and Princess Tamar departed for the Emerald Isle. It is said that the beauty of Princess Tamar was lauded far and wide. Upon arriving, Princess Tamar was married to the sitting king, Eochaidh. He was of the bloodline of Zarah, the son of Judah whose hand breached his mother’s womb first before his twin brother, Pharez. Hence, the famous “Scarlet Thread” of the Irish and the Scots.

In bringing together King Eochaidh and Princess Tamar (who was of the line of Judah-Pharez), the breach between Zarah and Pharez was then healed. The conditions of marriage were stated by the prophet Jeremiah: First, the king would have to renounce his worship of the god Bel and of the serpent, and then, accept the Mosaic law and the worship of YHVH.

And, what of these snakes? They were driven from Ireland by the prophet Jeremiah who was known by the name “Ollam Fola” – known today as St. Patrick.

And, how is this? "In his stead" (anti), the Roman Church sent a missionary to Ireland (for its own purposes) hundreds of years later who was given the name “Patrick” by the people.

Then, what is a Patrick, lads? It is “case-shot ... irregular pieces of iron shot from cannons to destroy the rigging and sails of ships.” This is a “Patrick.”

And, the “snakes” were the people who worshipped the snake – the DeDanaans – the sons of Dan who came to Ireland after the descendents of Joseph, the Tribe of Ephraim. Remember what Jacob said of his son, Dan, in his blessing: “Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.” (Genesis 49:16)

So, those who would not worship the God of Moses were driven from Ireland by Jeremiah "like snakes". Those who stayed were obedient to the will of God and were the noble descendents, the honorable sons, of Dan, the fifth son of Jacob.

Who is it, then, who can wear four colors because “4” is the number of the whole world? Judah is the fourth son of Jacob. And, what is the gemstone of Judah? The fourth stone of the breastplate of the high priest is of the Tribe of Judah, the emerald stone – GREEN is it, lads, the color of new life. The high priest of Israel was to wear the breastplate of pure gold set with 12 precious stones. The number “12” is representative of the 12 sons of Israel. This is why we wear but one color – the color green – on this day.

It is here, then, the Emerald Isle, where the prophet Jeremiah planted this tender twig, Tamar Tephi, of which Ezekiel speaks in his riddle of the two tender twigs in Chapter 17:22-24.

So, Ireland became this tender twig’s land (HER LAND). Remember: “IR” comes from the Old English word, “hir,” which comes from the root word, “her.” So, this would be “HER LAND.”

These snakes were driven from “Her Land,” Ireland, on the third day of the first month in the sacred year of the Hebrew calendar (March 17 in our Julian calendar) so that we would remember our God and who we are. This has been accomplished by the mighty hand of God, from year to year, for over 2,500 years.


“Deep calleth unto deep,” then, to you.

We here in America are very blessed that we can drive 3,000 miles and the language is still the same, but in most countries, especially in the Middle East at this time, you didn’t have to go three city blocks until it was a totally different language. So at the gathering of Pentecost they would have people of many tongues [which is many languages] present there.)

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,

(Gr. pnoê, to breathe, or blow, whence pneuma.)

and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

(The Holy Spirit was with them as God had promised. So this is the Spirit moving. It is talking about God’s elect here, where they were sitting, the Spirit touched them and they were filled.)

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

(They are receiving what was promised. Now this was a one-time thing where visibly God would use this particular vision so that they could see what was happening to them. Cloven means going out in many directions. The Greek word that is translated here means “distributed”.Acts 2

The Greek word which is translated as tongue here is "glossa".

So we see that we are not talking about the [literal] tongue of your mouth but the language of your mouth and the fact that it is in many directions. What does that mean? It is important to know first of all where we have all these languages pulled together that to be able to communicate as a witness then certainly we have an interesting subject. Let us listen to the Spirit as we continue with verse 4.)

Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit,

(Not by themselves.)

and began to speak with other tongues,

(Not unknown.)

as the Spirit gave them utterance.

(Gr. apoththengomai. There was nothing said that anyone didn't understand. There was no need for an interpreter. Man can't do that).

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews,

(Has 2 meanings, 1] of the tribe of Judah; or 2] resident of the land of Judea.)

devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

(Every language of the world present.)

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

(Not unknown. No need for an interpreter. This is the evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is how you can tell the true from a person imitating it. All the tongues of the world coming out of one mouth without an interpreter. Now we understand where the Greek word cloven or distributed comes in to play because [the language they were speaking] was being distributed in more than one language at one time. Now it's important in your research that you know what this word language is in the Greek because it really says more in the Greek than it does in the English. Because there is more to your own language. We speak English in many parts of the world, but certainly dialect has a great deal to do with identifying where someone is from. God is being very specific here. The Greek word that was translated “language” here is dialektos.

As you probably have clicked on the word in verse 6, does it look and sound familiar? It's almost the same as the English. In other words, not only did they hear their own language, but they heard it in the dialect in which they spoke. What was heard was in their own, local dialect. We see here the miracle of the Holy Spirit at work within this. We have many people from around the world that speak English, but there are many different dialects. But with the miracle of the Holy Spirit, [they heard what was spoken even unto their own dialect] and this is what stunned them.)

7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, "Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue,

(= dialect. Gr. dialektos, as in v. 6.)

wherein we were born?

(In other words they're saying, “they are from Nazareth, but talk like they are from Bethlehem!” [More than just different dialects;] totally different languages but still [heard even] in their own dialects. That is the evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit. They heard it and they understood it, each and every person. There was nothing unknown about it. So regarding the the Holy Spirit then, make a note, when the Holy Spirit speaks through a person, it is a language that is heard in every dialect of the world in whatever language they may speak. That, my friend, no man can fake. That is the evidence of the presence of Almighty God through the Holy Spirit, and that He is utilizing that person. If it sounds anything different than what was just mentioned, then it is obvious that the Holy Spirit is not present. Because the mark or evidence of this specific tongue, the Pentecostal day tongue, is that it is understood by every language of the world all at one time even down to the neighborhood in which you were born and raised. For example, picture someone from the United Nations that would get up to speak [to the entire] world and no one would need an interpreter. Everyone there would hear it in their own tongue as they were gathered in from around the world, just as they were in this case, here [in Acts]. And that’s what the Word says. There is nothing unknown about the so-called “speaking in tongues”. Some might say, "How do we know that there were different peoples there?" Well, give Him a chance to declare it.) §

Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, "Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

(Cp. 1 Thess. 5:7. In other words, it was only 9 o’clock in the morning and it was against the law of the land; for on the Holy day (the feast day), to partake of anything that early in the day. Thus Peter brings it forth. He explains it then. Do you really want to know what the Pentecost tongue is about? Peter’s standing up, he’s got their attention, and he’s going to tell you.)

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

"This is that"

1. "This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel". There is nothing in the words to tell us what is "this" and what is "that". The word "this" is Emphatic and the word "But", with which Peter's argument begins, sets what follows in contrast. This shows that the quotation was used to rebut the charge of drunkenness-v.13.

So far from these signs and wonders being a proof that "these men" were drunken, "this", said the apostle, is "that" [same kind of thing] which Joel prophesied would take place "In the last days". Peter does not say these were the last days, but this [that follows] is what Joel says of those days. He doesn't say "then was fulfilled", nor "as it is written", but merely calls attention to what the prophet said of similar scenes yet future.

Therefore to understand what Peter really meant by "this is that", we must turn to the prophecy of Joel. And in order to understand that prophecy, we must see exactly what it is about.

Is it about the Christian Dispensation? or, The dispensation of Judgment

which is to follow it? or, Is it about the Jew and the Gentile? or, Is it about the Church of God?

2. The Structure gives the scope of Joel as a whole, and a detail of B in which occurs the "signs" to which Peter points in connection with "this is that". From this it will be seen that the prophecy of Joel links up with the last clause of the "Song of Moses" in Deut.32:43 (see Rev.15:3), which ends:-

"And He will be merciful to His Land and to His People."

So Joel 2:18 begins:-

"Then will Yahaveh be jealous for His Land, and pity His People"

"THIS" therefore, is "THAT". It is the subject matter and remote context of Acts 2:16. It concerns Yahaveh's Land and Yahaveh's People, and has consequently nothing to do with the church of this Dispensation (see note on Acts 2:47). Peter calls "the house of Israel"-v.36- to the very repentance spoken of in the call to repentance of Joel-1:14-2:17; see A in Structure.
3. But the key to the correct understanding of Peter's quotation lies in the word "afterward" of Joel 2:28. The question is, after what? This we can learn only from Joel himself. Peter does not explain it, nor can we understand it from Peter's words alone.
The Structure shows us that the whole subject of 2:18-3:21 is - evil removed from the Land and the People, and blessings bestowed on both; and these are set forth alternately. In 2:28,29 we have spiritual blessings connected with the temporal of the previous verses, introduced thus: "And it shall come to pass AFTERWARD,
that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh,"&c.

After what? The answer is AFTER the temporal blessings of vv.23-27. It is important to note that the temporal precede the spiritual blessings. The Holy Spirit was NOT poured out on all flesh at Pentecost: only on some of those present. None of the great signs in heavens and on earth had been shown. No deliverance took place in Jerusalem: both Land and People were still under the Roman yoke.
4. Thus, from a careful study of the two passages, it will be seen that there is a wide divergence between the statements of apostle and prophet on the one hand, and the general belief of Christendom, which the majority hold so tenaciously, not to say acrimoniously, that "the church" was formed at Pentecost, on the other (see note on Act 2:47).
(a) There can be no mistake about the meaning of Joel's word "afterward". It is not the simple Heb. word 'ahar = after [Gen.5:4], but the compound 'aharey-ken = after that [as in Gen.6:4].
(b) It is therefore certain that the word "this" in Acts 2:16 refers to what follows, and not to what precedes; to the future events predicted by Joel, and not to those then taking place in Jerusalem.
(c) As Joel speaks of no gift of tongues, "this" cannot refer to these Pentecost tongues, the outstanding cause of all the wonder and excitement.
(d) None of the things detailed in vv.17,19 came to pass. "This" therefore could not be the fulfillment of Joel's prediction, as the "pouring out" was only on the apostles and those associated with them.

5. To sum up: As we have seen, there is in Acts 2:16 no fulfillment of Joel's prophecy either expressed or implied, and Peter's argument narrows down to this, namely that a charge of drunkenness can no more be sustained against "these" than it can be against those in the yet future scenes spoken of by Joel, when the wondrous spiritual blessing will be poured out on ALL flesh AFTER THAT, that is after all the temporal blessings spoken of have been bestowed upon Israel' Land and Israel's People. IT HASN"T HAPPENED YET FOLKS. NOBODY has spoken the Pentecost tongue since the apostles spoke it. Do not be deceived. The evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit, so you can tell the True from a person imitating it is, ALL the languages of the world coming out of ONE mouth WITHOUT an interpreter. Anything else is a fake and is evil. § Acts 2:17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days,'

saith God, 'I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:

(A Hebraism. Cp. Isa.40:5 66:24. Luke 3:6. John 17:2.)

and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

(Again, there is the time element, not until the last days when that hour of temptation. Now if you don’t think that God intends to use females, then you’ve got sad trouble, because especially in the last days He specifically brings that out stating, “daughters shall prophesy”. That means to teach and to prophesy the Word of God with the Holy Spirit coming from the mouth of women. God will use His elect, the Holy Spirit as it was written in Mark 13, in the last days, that is to say when the spurious messiah is here and we are delivered up and the miracle to the world will be whoever is listening. These trials will be televised around the world and you are not going to need an interpreter. Now that is the miracle of the presence of God through the Holy Spirit and people will know and understand that it is from God and not some unknown thing, but just the opposite, it will be from God’s Word, and it is that which is known and heard whereby no one has an excuse to say “I didn’t understand it because it wasn’t in my dialect.”)

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

(It is written in Mark 13, it is written in Matthew 24, it is written in Luke 21, and it is written in the book of Joel. It wasn’t unknown. If you want to know what they spoke on Pentecost day, go to the book of Joel and read it. It’s all laid out for you what they said, the marvelous, glorious, wonderful works of God that was mentioned back in the eleventh verse of this chapter by all those foreign tongues.)

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

God's witnesses will prophecy the blood, fire, and vapour of smoke, and then those things will come to pass. Why? It is not the witnesses that speak, but the Holy Spirit speaking through them.)

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

(= changed. Cp. the eclipses of the moon in 1997-98. 4 eclipses with a 6 month period in between = 6,6,6 = 18 = bondage.)

and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

(Gr. epiphanês. The verb epiphainô = to shine, show light upon. In Joel, the word is "terrible". The kindred noun epiphaneia, is used of the Lord's coming. 2 Thess.2:8. 1 Tim.6:14, &c. Again you have the time that this tongue will be spoken nailed down. There is no room for confusion. Again, listen to God’s word and not man’s. It doesn't matter how many preachers have told you that this Pentecost tongue was unknown. It doesn't matter how many times you have heard it from whoever, or whomever. God’s Word states that it was just the opposite of unknown, that it was in the very dialect or brogue…

BROGUE = (a strong dialectal accent, especially a strong Irish accent.)

…of whatever person heard it that was born regardless of who the speaker was, because it was not the speaker that spoke, but the Holy Spirit. God knows you, He knows your dialect, He knows how you hear. That’s why the miracle cannot be copied, conned, or made up by man. It is so crystal clear that no one is without excuse of understanding the scripture of God.)

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

(Cp. 7:59; 9:14; 22:16. Rom.10:12-14. 1 Cor.1:2. Yes, even up to that last hour. Now that was on Pentecost day. Did it happen again? Of course it did. See Chapter 10:44-46.)

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God,

(Psalm 22 gives us the detail of how Christ would be crucified, and by God's controlling hand on the events, Jesus was taken, tried before their counsel, and by the wicked hands of these Kenite Priests and Pharisees, Jesus was hung on the cross, and slain for the sins of many. Psalm 22 gives us Jesus words on the cross, and the fact that He was pierced, and nailed to the cross. Those prophecies tell us not only the words that Jesus would say, but also the words that the High priest would say. That high priest was not appointed not by God, but by a Roman governor. Even those words are written in that Psalm 22.)

ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

(= nailed up to the cross. Slain = Gr. anaireô, take off, or away.)

24 Whom God hath raised up,

(Means to make to stand up, i.e. to raise up, or to rise up, arise, rise again. Refers to the Resurrection. Cp. 13:32,33.)

having loosed the pains of death:

(= birth-pangs.)

because it was not possible that He should be holden of it.

'I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for He is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

(= shaken. The enemy is not going to move or shake you.)

26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad;

(= rejoiced exceedingly. See Matt.5:12. 1 Pet.1:8; 4:13.)

moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

(Rest = tabernacle. See Matt.13:32. Mark 4:32. Luke 13:19)

27 Because Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,

(Gr. Hades; used by the Greeks for the unseen world. See Appendix 131 in Companion Bible.)

neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.

(The subject here though is the Messiah's resurrection, after going to that place where the souls of the dead where held and releasing those that would hear and go with Him. Did Christ go to hell?

Only in as much as there is a place in paradise, that is documented in the Apocrypha, II Esdras 7:77, and in Luke 16:19-26 in the parable of Lazarus, where the rich man could see Lazarus in the bosom of Abraham. But there was a great gulf between the place where the rich man was, and that gulf could not be crossed.

Luke 16:26 "And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence."

Today you can call this hell if you please, but one thing is for sure, those in that place know that they did not overcome, and they are there by their own choosing. They did not accept Christ, nor did they repent. Those that are in that separated place in paradise, called "hell" are there waiting for judgment. They knew, and yet refused.

Because our heavenly Father is fair, Christ on that day that He was in the tomb went to those that were in that tomb and preached to them, as we are told in I Peter 3:18, 20 and this will be also discussed in Acts 4.

I Peter 3:18-20; "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison, Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing where few, the is, eight souls were saved by water."

Jesus went to them and preached salvation to them, for at this time He had died on the cross, and all those souls had the privilege of accepting or rejecting Him at that time. At that time Jesus Christ freed many prisoners. No, God did not leave Him there. He freed all those people back to the time of "Noah", which means "the beginning". He gave them the same privilege that you and I have today to accept Him.

It would have been very unfair of God to withhold salvation from those souls that were born of women in that first four thousand years, and offer salvation only to the generation from the time of Jesus. Even David was included in this, for David was a murderer.)

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of joy with Thy countenance.'

29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David,

(Applies to Abraham and the sons of Jacob, as founders of the nation, and to David, as founder of the monarchy.)

that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him,

(This is your documentation that David was a prophet. See 2 Sam.7:12.)

that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on h His throne;

31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ,

(This is the Greek translation of the Heb. Messiah. Christos has the same meaning, from chriô, to anoint. Hence the Noun is used of for the Messiah, and in the Gospels should always be translated "Messiah", as well as in Acts, and sometimes in the latter Books of the N.T.)

that His soul was not left in hell, neither His flesh did see corruption.

(His flesh did not go through that state of returning to dust as David's did. He was transfigured.)

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, 'The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.'

(= the footstool of Your feet. See Ps.110:1.)

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ."

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,"Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

(When they heard this they were pierced in their hearts. They wanted to know what they should do to accept Christ. This is the same that men and women ask today, but when they are told, they would rather play church with their traditions, and fly-away doctrines. Are you ready to take a stand, and prepare yourself to where this Spirit can speak through you when you are delivered up? If you are, many will hear the Word, and believe on His name.

You don't place the gospel armor on to fly away, you put it on to fight against Satan and his fiery darts which is a spiritual warfare, not with guns and tanks, but with words and ideas to change minds. The battle field is in the minds of people, not on some foreign soil.)

38 Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

(Peter is telling them how to be saved. Does this mean that they will now speak in tongues? For some it shall in this generation of the end times. However to all they must be ready to be used by the Holy Spirit when He gives them the utterances to mouth. The Holy Spirit has many gifts that are given to those that are saved, and part of the body of Christ. It does not say the gift of tongues here, but those gifts include being pastors, teachers evangelists, Sunday school teachers, and He uses others to just plant a seed with a smile now and then. That is the gift of the Holy Spirit.

When you have the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is within you, and you don't have to wonder whether the Holy Spirit is there or no, it will show. They are the fruits of the Spirit that will be reflected. Galatians 5:22, 23; "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.")

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,

(I.e. the Dispersion of them and the Gentiles. Cp. 22:21. Eph.2:13,17)

even as many as the LORD our God shall call."

(He calls. You have to answer.)

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation."

(= the days of vv.17-21.)

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine

(The apostles doctrine, is what Peter had just taught them. It was the Words of Christ, and the Words of the prophets. The apostles doctrine is everything that is written in God's Word; that is what they steadfastly followed. The apostles were sent for by Christ to teach His doctrine, they are one and the same. Look out for those creeds and oaths that are different then the doctrine that Christ taught.)

and fellowship, and in breaking of bread,

(This was the common meal. Cp. vv.44,46 and Matt.14:19. Isa.58:7.)

and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

(= by the Holy Sprint through the Apostles.)

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

(The whole church body of the early church thought as a unit, one for each other. In the doctrine of Christ, and in the Holy Spirit, there were no divisions amongst them at this time.)

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men,

(I.e. to the believers.)

as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

(They took communion together as a body of Christ, in singleness of heart. They all thought alike, with a common caring for each other. What it is talking about is the fact that it was not safe to teach the doctrine of Christ openly in the Temple, therefore they held home meeting. Remember the same Kenite religious leaders that killed Jesus, and plotted the murders against Him were still in charge of the temple. There was no writings of the New Testament at this time, so they had to carry the Word by mouth from one to another.

There were people that had the gift to teach, and they were sent from home to home in their teaching ministry, and they did not need a house, but lived where they ministering. Today the ministry is different in the methods being used. Today one can stay in one location, and thus possess properties, and use many different teaching tools to preach the gospel openly and boldly.

They sold all to be teachers of the Gospel, and the possibility of returning once you started to teach, was very slim. You became a marked person that was not popular in the Temple, nor amongst the Jews. So they went from house to house taking the Gospel.)

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

(It is not meant that all should have ears to hear, or eyes to see the plan of God, and be saved. Within that plan of God is the simplicity of salvation, not only to Israel, but as we will see in later chapters to the Gentiles. The Church started on Pentecost Day with these one hundred and twenty men and women, and on that first day, three thousand souls were added to the Church, the body of Christ. THINK "Globally" but ACT "Locally"

When I was a college student, I was certain that whatever I would be doing in the world, it would be something big -- involving nationwide policies, or (this was my real dream) influencing and ultimately bringing peace and justice to the whole entire world. As a youth, I had witnessed poverty, abuse, and injustice on every scale imaginable. My determination for a better life gave me DRIVE and HOPE. My determination to rid the world of the evil I had seen propelled me to not only survive my childhood, but to thrive for "others" sake...who I knew in this GREAT NATION America other children were "caught" also.

I don't remember an awful lot about my childhood, but there are moments that stand out for me which I held onto like a twig in a raging river to keep from drowning. I lived a double life. Monday through Friday at home with my mom, I went to school, and came "home" to a living Hell on Earth with Medusa at the Head of the Household. Then, on the weekends come Friday evening after school let out I was out of there.  My mother eager to be rid of me permitted visitation with extended family. Thankfully my grandmother, Aunt Virginia and Uncle Ed would retrieve me where I was introduced to Heaven on Earth as they did the best they could to relieve me from the fiery furnace of trials and tribulations of my week. Calmness on Friday Night, Education on Saturdays and Church on Sundays. My grandmother was quite the spiritual woman, and to sit at her feet in her presense in His presense while she read the Bible to me was my "safe" refuge hidden in the wilderness. Then, when I was with My Uncle Ed and Aunt Virginia...wow. My Aunt was the best cook ever! Fresh food she had canned right from the garden Uncle Ed planted were flavorful luxeries fit for a Queen..

Then, Uncle Ed would let me into his sacred closet after Saturday mornings cutting grass, and working in the Garden-Weed'en and Harvesting. In that closet was years and years of National Geographics. I was amazed at the places I could travel to with the aid of pictures and stories and never have left that closet on Saturdays. Then Sunday would roll around and off we all went to Church...althought I was too young to really remember much of the "lesson" from the pulpit...the greatest lessons I learned were in the "safety" of the presense of The Lord and those in whom He obviously resided. I only remember how they represented the fulfillment of my highest possible aspiration that one day I would also return to stand behind that same podium as a person who had succeeded in making the world a much better place teaching of Love, and Christ in all those places I saw in the pages of The National Geographic Magazines in my youth.

To this end, I began my college studies setting out to major in English and Religion, and dreamed of working for the PEACE CORPS or a Foreign Service  and climbing my way up into the upper echelons of international policy makers and shakers. I dreamed of introducing democracy and Christianity to to far away lands. I dreamed of sharing with others what FREEDOM was as I knew the bondage of Monday-Friday, and then FREEDOM on the weekends. I dreamed of making sure no child ever had to go hungry or abused. I dreamed that no child would have to endure the sexually crossed boundaries where innocence was preyed upon for adult pleasure. I dreamed of sharing Love with the world. I dreamed of bringing peace and understanding amongst people all over the world, and to make those people I saw in the National Geographics smile...cause they all looked so sad. I dreamed of teaching sustainable living and gardening where no one would ever have to live in poverty and go to bed hungry at night which no child or adult should ever have to endure. Mostly, I dreamed of representing HOPE for others that no matter how bad life seemed at the moment it will get better.

Despite my sincere desire to save the world, I never managed to move past rhetoric and idealism to meaningful action. In the end, as you might have suspected, my life has followed a very different path from the one I had envisioned for myself. I never finished college. I had to drop out right in the middle..go to work, then return to school, drop out, go to work...then HONOR THY MOTHER came calling. Some of you already know the story of my mom, and her dying, and my Heavenly Father using me to locate her "adopted out " child and leading mom to breaking the bondage the devil had her in all her life and the reason for the HELL I grew up in. So, I won't go there in this post except to say, when HONOR calls..please Answer. For what was the be the biggest challenge of my life, moving through forgiveness and healing through the pain of my mother, I in the end with the compassion and love of God  healed her, and she died in my arms at peace, and in love with The Lord.

My own life experience has taught me the wisdom of "Think Globally, Act Locally" approach. Looking back, I now realize the MAGNITUDE of the "smallest" ACT from sitting at my grandmothers feet to my Uncle Ed's closet full of prized years of collecting National Georgraphics that he could have said "No" you can't mess with them. Instead, his one YES...opened up a WORLD of potential for me. The one yes, of the school friend who parents said YES, when you are ready to leave home, you can live with us and finish high school. Those tiny minute ACTS, caused a ripple in the continum of my life...and Christianity has taught me that all ACTS are either building UP people and granting LIBERTY, or they are tearing DOWN people and placing into BONDAGE. All other ACTS are either for providing an "enviroment" which fosters HOPE or threatens DISPAIR. Where LOVE is absent FEAR sets in.

These are the fine lines of living. No one can legislate morality. But what should happen in SOCIETY is just the things I had at times as a child...A SAFE HAVEN, A SAFE REFUGE from "tryanny", and a PLACE where I could grow into THE PERSON GOD intended me to be.

No, I never got to stand behind a pulpit sharing with a body of folks all about God and Christs Love. You see I grew up in a Baptist religion and was told there are no WOMEN preachers...so that dream got shot down very early. Being poor I never got alot of the "opportunities" afforded others. BUT there existed inside this "well-spring" lying dormant until just the right ingredients came long which brought it to the surface and in like manner of the twig of HOPE I held onto as a child, I held on that my VOICE MATTERS. Several years ago I decided to GIVE all my life to Christ to be used, and I began to share my heart and my voice with you gathered here ..one by one you listened. Lately I have decided to move more into the realm of taking Christs spirit and taking my voice and using it politically leading and sharing. For we are to provide a SAFE HAVEN from tyranny, and that is what America is to me, and its time to root out the "ELEMENTS" of EVIL which threaten that. We have a DUTY to VOTE, to get involved. Whether it is our calling to TAKE OFFICE, or not, we have a duty to GET CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLED people whose CALLING it is INTO OFFICE...and to CLEAN HOUSE.

I cannot live someone else's life for them nor can I fix them. I have been Johnny Appleseed many times in my life, mainly to those in emotional pain who truly need assistance to help them try to make some sense out of this world . I have had many wonderful teachers including the man sitting along the side of the street with dirty clothes on. Everyone has a story, talking to them is like opening a book. I have shared a part me with you today.

So these lessons and teachers are handing the baton to you now. All you have to do is pick it up and run with it!

Whatever you want to be, to have, to "become"---be it a harmonious family life, a courageous mindset, more energy to get the job done, passion FOR life, a joyous and carefree existence, loving relationship---whatever! But there are only 2 ways to go---learn on your own, from your own mistakes or learn from others and shorten the learning curve...that has always been my best teacher.

Great men and women rest one hand on the shoulder of the other for SUPPORT with the other stretched out behind "to help" a straggler. Small men and women put all their weight upon the backs of others with both hands out in "entitlement" indifferent to the sufferings and plights of others~concerned ONLY for self...and the relief of their pain.

At any given time, I have one hand resting on the shoulder of another by Grace, and I AM reaching out my hand to you. Take it and I'll do my best to lead you on a journey of self-discovery and growth taking you over or around obstacles and stumbling blocks in the path. Ready? Great! Then...let' begin with the journey and always remember our pact---TRUST IN THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE...the cues and clues are there for your journey...but KNOW it is YOUR journey YOU must take.
UNITED "tightly knit" WE can do all things through Christ who strengthens (in those bit difficult times). Yes, TO DO "righteousness" is a definite determinant of Character and of The Greatest of Virtues next to Love...which is COURAGE in my humble opinion. As I look back over my own life, I can single out the important role that courage played in ALL my struggles, wrestling right and wrong to arrive to a place of righteousness.
