I WILL... I PRESS ON

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that I WILL seek after; --Psalms 27:4

It's kind of strange, but FIRST you have to “know what you want”, defined in terms of the “end result”. And then you have to physically MOVE TOWARDS IT, without defining how for therein is FAITH EXERCISED!

At which point, the thing you want actually starts COMING TO YOU, on ITS own terms, from a direction completely unexpected.

In this life, we desire many things, many of which are neither needful nor beneficial to us. In fact, if we will be HONEST with ourselves, we’ll have to admit that although we want many “things”, seldom does the “want” COMPEL us to COMMIT ourselves to the ACQUIRING those things. It is not so surprising therefore, that more often than not, those who reach their GOALS in life, are those who not only DESIRE a thing, but then DILIGENTLY FOLLOW AFTER IT to obtain it.

It is with this MINDSET, this ZEAL, that David declares, “One Thing” have I desired of the LORD, that thing I will seek after”.

Not only has he determined this “One Thing” NEEDFUL to his existence, but now making his request known of the LORD, he RESOLVES in his mind that in order to ACQUIRE this thing, he WILL press on to ACTION, and go from desire to execution! We seldom have any problems making our requests known unto God; the difficulty however, lies in resolving to now SEEK after that which we have petitioned the LORD for.

Paul declares in Philippians 3:14, “I press on for the mark for the prize of the HIGH CALLING of God in Christ Jesus”. David declares, “I Will”.

What have you desired of the LORD, my friends and family? Have you RESOLVED now to seek after it, or did you just concede that it was simply something you wanted, but was NOT willing to commit yourself to diligently seek after.

God desires to MERCIFULLY GRANT US the desires of our hearts, but we MUST do more than just “make our request known”, we must resolve today, “I Will” SEEK after it, “I Will” POSSESS ownership of it,  to “press on” because it is absolutely NEEDFUL to my existence. You can CHOOSE to “abide” and REST in The Lord and Christ or Our Adversaries “UNRESTING PLACE”. Whatever you refuse to face consciously you must suffer unconsciously and this leads me to the second CHOICE on the opposite end of this spectrum: UNCONSCIOUS SUFFERING! (And this is the realm The Devil tormenting PLACE).

In fact ALL your current suffering is the result of situations you have refused to CONFRONT. You’ve refused to ACT, “repressing” YOUR thoughts, feelings and emotions until they are like a rubber life raft held just below the surface of the water.

You can stand on the emotional raft, forcing it down, but when you run out of energy to do that, or when you are not guarded, the repressed emotions surface and you experience the effects.

The only way to resolve the conflicts in your life and attain peace of mind is to deal with them as directly, honestly and efficiently as possible. There are four steps to end suffering and to attain peace of mind:

1) ACCEPT SELF-RESPONSIBILITY: In accepting karma "REAPING WHAT YOU SOW" as your philosophical basis of reality, you accept self-responsibility. Your problems are karmic "reaping what you sow" situations you need to experience to learn and grow. There is no one to blame for anything you’ve ever experienced...not even The Devil for in the end he sells a bad bill of goods, but it is still our "choice" to buy it. And remember, wisdom erases karma  "of that sense", and the law of grace supersedes the law of karma (if you GIVE love and mercy and grace in your life, you will receive the same in return).

2) ACCEPT THAT WHAT IS… IS: Accept the things you cannot change, change the things you can and have the wisdom to know the difference. Remember, YOU cannot change another human being (But God can always touches a mind… leave it in His Hands after prayer.)

3) DEVELOP DETACHED MIND: The goal is to enjoy all the good stuff life has to offer, but when outside conditions change, refrain from sinking into the basement of emotions (anger, hatred, desire for revenge). Allow negativity to flow through you without affecting you. Allow Love to follow through you and FILL YOU!


4) HARMONIOUS VIEWPOINT: The way you experience life is based on the way you choose to view what happens to you. Your viewpoint is the deciding factor in whether you perceive life as a troublesome journey or a harmonious experience.

PRESS ON and end suffering and obtain peace of mind and look to helping others! I’ve been working on these four wisdom points for 25 years and although I’m probably 90% there . . . I have to confess to now being totally there. But I can’t imagine living my life without this philosophical back up, and this life of spiritual Grace. For as the Father speaks, it is as though the whole world would stop in His wake.

Oh, to hear the voice of the Father is to hear that which is beyond all wonder, beyond human imagination. For child of God, His very voice and heart echoes love such as you and I, in our frail mortality, cannot begin to comprehend – His care, His concern, His mercy, His compassions – as they fall on us. 

For He knows that we are but dust. And even our very frailties and weaknesses, He understands…

And so it is the Father who in this season would take your hand and mine.  And so it is His whisper would become a crescendo in the hearts and minds of His servants in this generation. As He thunders out of the glory and the majesty. And out of the winds of His presence, He would gently bid you nearer. 

And He would whisper: "It is I."

It takes a proper MINDSET to Hear The Voice of God whispering, and to SEE where He takes what another meant as Bad and He makes it GOOD!


A very poor woman called a Christian radio station asking for help.
A bad, evil man who was listening to this radio program decided to make something out of it. He got her address, called his secretary and ordered her to buy food and take to the woman with the following instruction: "When the woman asks who sent the food, tell her that it's from the devil." 


When she arrived, the woman was so happy and she started putting the food inside.The secretary asked her: "Don't you want to know who sent you the food?"The woman answered: "No, it doesn't matter, because when GOD orders, even the devil obeys".


Ahhhhhh...did you "feel it" the winds of His presence gently bidding her nearer.
And God whispered to her heart: "It is I."
